Robert C. May, Esquire

Bob represents privately-held businesses and their owners in a variety of Business Law and Real Estate Law matters.

Bob May was born in 1964 and educated at the Pennsylvania State University, earning his bachelor's degree with honors from the Schreyer Honors College in 1986. He was a computer systems analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York City from 1986-89. He earned his law degree from (the Pennsylvania State University) Dickinson School of Law in 1992, graduating cum laude in the top 10 percent of his class, and earning the Edward N. Polisher award for the highest GPA in tax law courses.

Bob has practiced law since 1992, for the law firms of Shumaker Williams, P.C., in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania (1992-97), and for one of the world's largest law firms, Morgan Lewis [& Bockius], LLP, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (1997-99). Since 1999, Bob has been in private practice for himself, forming May & May, P.C., with his wife on January 1, 2000.

Bob has taught classes on Business Law, Administrative Law, and Computer Legal Research at Penn State University, and has been a visiting lecturer at the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in Entrepreneurial Law.

Bob is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Business Law Section. He is a member of the PBA's LLC Standard Forms Taskforce and a contributor to its publication, "Pennsylvania LLC Documents."

Bob is a member of the Cumberland County Bar Association, and a member and Officer of the CBA's Business Law Section. Bob is admitted to the United States Tax Court, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, as well as the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Karen B. May, Esq.

Karen Brothers May, Esquire

Karen represents privately-held businesses and their owners in a variety of Business Law and Real Estate Law matters.

Karen May, formerly Karen J. Brothers, was born in 1967 and raised in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, and later East Berlin, Pennsylvania. She attended Franklin & Marshall College on early admission, and earned her B.A. degree in 1988, with an Accounting major and Economics minor. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1991.

While at Penn, she served on the Law Review, had her Comment on Bankruptcy law published, and was elected to the position of Executive Editor of the Law Review. Karen was elected to represent the University of Pennsylvania as an editor of A Uniform System of Citation (the "Blue Book") produced in association with Harvard, Yale and Columbia law schools.

During law school, Karen served in a summer internship for Robert J. Woodside, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Karen has practiced business law since 1991, for the then 450-attorney firm of Dechert Price & Rhoads, in Philadelphia (1991-92), the mid-sized local firm of Keefer Wood Allen & Rahal, LLP, in Harrisburg (1993-98), and for Miller & May, LLP, in Lemoyne (1998-99) of which she was a founding member. She joined her husband's practice with the formation of May & May, P.C., on January 1, 2000.

Karen is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
